Look what I just bought!
My Auto Knitter, that will turn out one pair of socs after the other, will have to travel from Canada to me in Norway. It's a miracle to me that all these parts (that I have to put together) will make beautiful warm socks! I can't wait to get my new old machine!
this looks amazing Eline - I only wear Norwegian wool socks, and in the traditional pattern - they are just so long wearing, comfy and super duper!
ReplyDeleteNever found a better sock than a Norwegian made one!

ReplyDeleteWow, I've always liked machines.. cant figure out how that one works though!
ReplyDeleteI seee.. its a bit like one of those little four peg dolls but a lot more complex!
ReplyDeleteI am always so curious about these sock machines. Look at all the pieces! I think I could make real messes for a long time before producing any socks.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing your learning process with this machine!
Hope you have a lot of scrap yarn. You are going to need it ;-) I should have saved or at least photographed my "alien socks" with 20 practice heels.
ReplyDeleteWhen you make that first perfect sock. You will (and should be) be very proud.
I cranked out 3 pairs today :-)
Hope yours arrive soon.
